Design of Valve Seating Buffer for Electromagnetic Variable Valve System

An electromagnetic variable valve (EMVV) system can significantly reduce pumping loss and discharge of the engine by enabling timing lift. However, seat easily produces a larger impact collision with cylinder head because fast seating velocity, greatly decreasing life. Therefore, in this paper, buffer (VSB) is designed to solve problem large impact. Firstly, scheme an EMVV embedded proposed, model established resolve soft landing effectiveness verified experiment. In addition, structure, material dimension parameters proposed are designed, some key optimized Nelder–Mead (N–M) algorithm. Finally, co-simulation actuator built, performance analyzed. The results show that velocity rebound height reduced 94.8% 97%, respectively, which verifies advantages VSB.
